ZTE last year announced its first smartphone with a hidden camera under the display, the Axon 20. Now, we see that it is getting ready to bring the new model with the second generation of this technology produced by Visionox, the Axon 30, which can be announced as early as next July.
Visionox itself has already shown the new version of its under-screen camera technology, called InV see Pro, which should be present in the supposed Axon 30 and, according to the leaker Digital Chat Station, the announcement could happen very soon, more precisely on the 22nd of July. Adding even more weight to the rumor, ZTE president Ni Fei recently revealed that the brand will unveil a new device next month.
The Axon 30 Pro and Axon 30 Ultra were recently officialized by the Chinese company, bringing a centralized hole for the front camera. It was expected that they would have a camera under the dashboard, or that the Axon 30 with such a novelty would be presented together, which did not happen.
Now, the new device may appear with a camera that has a new arrangement for the pixels, which should bring greater clarity and less blurring in the photos produced by the device, a big point of criticism in the Axon 20 for the low quality of the selfies generated.
What to expect from the Axon 30?
The model should use the second generation of transparent screen technology, with significant improvements: in addition to increasing the pixel density, which goes from 200 PPI to 400 PPI, the novelty is now compatible with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Despite this, photo quality improvements are not to be expected, considering that ZTE did not comment on this during the announcement in late February. Furthermore, it is believed that the Axon 30 keeps the Snapdragon 888 from the more powerful brothers, although there is the possibility of the device being aimed at the intermediate segment, like its predecessor.
