Vice-chairman of the FAAN Tennis Club, Kingsley Nwokoma was happy with successful hosting of another edition of the competition.
“We are happy to be here again this year to celebrate these kids. As you know, tennis is life and it is important to help these kids actualize their dreams,”Nwokoma declared.
“Looking back to where we are coming from, I believe we can be proud with what we have achieved over the years. We have kids who have participated in this competition who are now in a tennis academy in United States of America.
“Our projection now is to make the competition bigger from the ninth edition. We want to bring in kids from Togo, Benin Republic, Ghana and other African countries to compete here so that the lads here will have a feel of what it takes to compete against international opponents.
“It’s also important to help our kids compete in ITTF circuits outside Nigeria.
“We want to see another Nigerian compete in the grand slam and ATP Tours. It’s important for us to produce another Nduka Odizor.
“This year’s edition is a success like the previous years. The kids are getting better with each edition.
