The sufferer was discovered motionless and later on declared dead at the accident spot by a Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic. Another motorcyclist, a 200year-old man was immediately taken conscious to the hospital and the 36-year-old van driver was apprehended for careless driving causing the death. He was watched wearing a Foodpanda shirt prior to being covered with a white cloth and a police tent. Shin Min Daily News, the Chinese language reported that around 12 relatives of the deceased came to the incident scene. Shin Min stated that the sufferer is a food delivery rider whose wife is 3 months pregnant.

The brother of the sufferer, who was interviewed at the mortuary on Monday afternoon, stated the family is appealing for witnesses to come forward and rejected to comment further. In a response to the media outlet, Foodpanda stated: “We are highly heartbroken and saddened by the passing news of our rider, and wish to send our deepest sympathies to his family. We are doing everything we can to support the family of our deceased rider while assisting the cops with any information they might require for the probes.”

The name of the deceased person is Mr. Jason Tan who woke up late on Sunday and his wife informed him not to go to work that day.  But Mr. Tan, a food delivery rider and soon-to-be father was hoping to earn an incentive offered to riders and was required to fulfill just 13 more orders to get it.
