George Alagiah says, Cancer will probably get him in the end

George Alagiah, a BBC announcer, has remarked that he considers himself fortunate for the life he has led, despite the fact that cancer would “probably get me in the end.” Alagiah, 66, was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer in April 2014, which progressed to his lungs, liver, and lymph nodes, and he stated in October that he would be taking a gap from his presenting duties to deal with “further spread of cancer.”

Alagiah discusses living with the disease with Craig Oliver, a former Downing Street director of communications. “I’m not sure I’ll be able to get rid of this thing.” I’m still dealing with cancer. “It’s expanding very slowly,” he stated in an interview for Desperately Seeking Wisdom, Oliver’s podcast.

The presenter stated that he would never wish for cancer, but he would not trade the years he had lived with it for anything because he had learned so much. He went on to say that his cancer diagnosis had helped him figure out what was important in his life.
