Top 6 Nigerian Idol Finalists/Contestants Season 6 (Beyonce Eliminated)

Beyonce exits as the Nigerian Idol Top 6 pay tribute to the late Fela Kuti. Last night’s edition of Nigerian Idol takes us back to our beginnings. Contestants channeled their inner Fela as they paid tribute to the Afrobeat maestro. The finalists kicked off the evening with a group performance of “Water No Get Enemy.”

In preparation for the Live Show, the finalists visited the Kalakuta Museum and met Seun Kuti. The Big Bird assisted the contestants in interpreting their songs and provided recommendations that aided their performances.

Comfort kicked up the solo performances with “Observation No Be Crime.” Her presentation was wonderful, and the judge praised it, demonstrating how far she has come.

Faith Jason followed with a rendition of “Palava.” The judges were blown away by his performance and awarded him a standing ovation at the end. “I’m always thrilled when I see you,” Seyi Shay says. You kill it every week. You haven’t let me down yet.”

After singing “Yellow Fever,” Francis Atela received a standing ovation as well. Obi Asika welcomed his collaboration with the band.

Kingdom‘s rendition of “Gentleman” was another performance that impressed the judges. The judges were all blown away by his performance and left speechless. All of them lavished him with admiration, and Seyi Shay cried, “You are incredible.” Obi Asika concurred, noting that the Kingdom has now arrived at the competition. DJ Sose, who was still flabbergasted, just said, “Well done.”

Emmanuel also delivered an outstanding performance. Seun Kuti had previously stated that he has star power, and he went on to prove him correct on stage.

Beyonce Ajomiwe, a fan favorite, was ousted from the competition on one of the most nerve-racking elimination nights. Akunna finished the program with her rendition of “Lady.” Seyi Shay compared her to Yemi Alade and Omawumi for her outstanding performance.
