Sowore Detained: Court Turns Down Sowore’s Application Challenging Confinement

The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday, would not allow the movement documented by Mr Omoyele Sowore, testing his confinement for 45 days by the Department of State Security (DSS). CMA TRENDS reports

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Justice Nkeonye Maya, who declined all applications by Counsel to Sowore, Femi Falana (SAN), sent the case back to Justice Taiwo for further hearing.

Falana, who had requested that the court put aside the exparte request allowed by Justice Taiwo, likewise connected for oral bail when Justice Maha dismissed the previous application.
