Regina Daniels’ brother defends mother amidst marriage rumours

Emerging reports suggest that actress, Regina Daniels’ mother got married recently. The news has brought with it a lot of backlash. This is because the marriage allegedly involved a younger man.

Following a recent image circulating social media, Daniels’ mom was accused of marrying a younger man. However, the outrage is mostly because they believe she gave a daughter in marriage to a much older man. The contrast is what angered a lot of people.

Regina Daniels is married to 60-year-old billionaire, Ned Nwoko. Their marriage attracted a lot of negative press as many believed her too young. Daniels was 19 at the time of the union between the two.

However, the recent news making rounds has been debunked. Daniels’ brother Lawrence has said that the pictures causing the outrage were from a movie. In a recent interview with The Nation, he was quoted as saying: “The photos are from a movie scene. Social media can catch their cruise but they will be shocked when they eventually see the movie.”

The picture that went viral showed Daniels’ mom posing with a younger man in different traditional attires. There were also guests seen in the background in a setting that looked like a wedding. The image was followed by an interesting post.

Daniels’ mom wrote in a recent Instagram post, “True Love Wins“. The young man in the picture in question is said to be Larry Zuka is an American-based singer and songwriter. Zuka is said to be an independent filmmaker and director. He is also a father to two sons.

The actress’ mom, Rita Daniels is a movie producer, actress and filmmaker. She was appointed as the Delta State Assistant Treasurer of the People Democratic Party PDP in 2020. Daniels was also named Nollywood Personality of the year in a Leadership Excellence Award last year.
