Nice: Christophe Galtier cancels the friendly match planned against ASSE

Initially scheduled for July 21 at the Jacques-Forestier stadium in Aix-les-Bains, the friendly meeting between AS Saint-Étienne and OGC Nice has been canceled, as reported by The team. The Aiglons, and more precisely their new trainer, Christophe Galtier, are at the origin of this change of program.

The 54-year-old technician actually wanted to have a full week of training, while the Riviera club won this Saturday against Dynamo Kiev (2-1). Claude Puel, the coach of the Greens, regretted this decision, or rather the timing in the communication. “We learned about it three days before. It’s like that…”, thus let go of the former Gym coach after the victory against Grenoble (2-1). Puel, like Galtier, will therefore not find his former club before the resumption of Ligue 1.
