Lurambi Member of Parliament Titus Khamala has revealed that burglars once broke into his house expecting to reap big but only managed to walk away with a 32-inch TV and his wife’s clothes.
This is due to the fact that the legislator does not live a lavish lifestyle like most of his counterparts in power.
The humility could probably be attributed to the fact that he started a family in a grass thatched house 27 years ago when he worked as a sand harvester before joining politics.

In a video shared online days before the theft, the 51-year-old had taken his subjects on a tour of his humble home.

The staunch Christian noted that he is at the helm of a big constituency with subjects who keep reaching out for help with medical bills, funerals, and school fees.
In an interview with The Wicked Edition, Khamala remembered the events of the fateful day when his family was in Nairobi and got information that thugs had broken into his house in the village.

He added that his modesty does not allow him to accept being chauffeured around with heavy security detail.
The bishop also revealed that it was easy for the thugs to gain access as the house which was broken into does not have a security guard at the gate.
What was, however, appalling about his revelations is the fact that Kenyans sounded disappointed in the legislator’s modesty.
