Businessman David Njuguna has donated a plane for use in Raila Odinga’s presidential campaigns.
The tycoon took part in the ongoing auction of the grounded planes being run by the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA).
He acquired three aircraft, putting aside the military jet for his personal use, the cargo one for business and the remaining one for the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.

A fortnight ago, KAA issued a public notice announcing the auction of 73 uncollected junk aircraft stalled at its four major airports.
The said planes had stalled at the respective yards in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Moi International Airport, Lokkichogio Airport, and Wilson Airport in Nairobi.
Two days into the auction at JKIA, KAA has released 13 out of the 17 aircraft earmarked for sale.
The cheapest plane was to go at KSh 5,000, the highest auction price being KSh 1.6 million.

The exercise, which is being overseen by the Keysian Auctioneers, will end on Monday, November 22.
Also partaking in the auction was Bonfire Adventures managing director Sarah Kabu.
She said she would be acquiring a junk plane for an Airbnb business.
Taking to Instagram, Kabu shared a clip of herself while at JKIA, hinting to her fans that she was bidding for one of the grounded aircraft.
The businesswoman reminisced how far she has come and encouraged her fans to never give up in life as dreams are valid.

Kabu added she was contemplating buying two planes, one for herself and another for her husband, Simon.
