Nigerian superstar singer, Wizkid has reacted to news of the Federal Government’s ban on social media app, Twitter’s operations in Nigeria.

'Na So the Thing Go Dey Sup?

Wizkid posted his reaction via his Instagram stories on Saturday, the 5th of June 2021. He wrote, “UAR…na so the ting go dey sup?“. “UAR” meaning the United African Republic, a name that was reported to be considered the the Nigerian legislative as a new name for the country.

The Federal Government of Nigeria announced yesterday that they had placed a ban on Twitter’s operations within the country. Nigerians woke up this morning and could not access the app. This caused Wizkid to react, asking if this is the new normal for UAR (Nigeria).
