Ukambani leaders have send a warning to former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka if he back Orange Democratic leader Raila Odinga for Presidency in the next general election.

Led by Kitui senator Enoch Wambui the leaders warned the wiper leader against any plan to back Raila quest for Presidency, saying he would be a lonely man in the journey.

“Should our party leader ever make the decision to support the Rt. Hon Raila Amollo Odinga for Presidency, we respectfully assure him of two very painful outcome,” they said.

They further denied any talk of Kalonzo supporting the ODM leader, arguing that the Kamba nation was firmly behind OKA and persuaded the principals to reject any plot to divide them.

“What we are saying that our people are saying is Kalonzo cannot support Raila again. We can support any other person within OKA but not Raila,” Wambua said.

“We encourage our principals to stand firmly together and fight of any attempt, explicit and or veiled by any person to divide them,”

Other leaders present at the press briefing were Irene Kasalu (Kitui Woman Rep), Dan Manzo (Makueni), Makai Mulu (Kitui Central), Edith Nyenze (Kitui West), and Danson Mwashako (Wundanyi).

Kalonzo had earlier declared that he will not support ODM leader, saying that any negotiation he will have with Mr Odinga would be done under the newly formed One Kenya Alliance that brings together Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Gideon Moi.
