When Nickelodeon’s iCarly ended in November 2012, few would’ve thought the show would be back after an almost 10-year hiatus.
However, that’s exactly what happened. Paramount+ just dropped a first official trailer for the revamped sitcom.
“Welcome to the new iCarly,” Miranda Cosgrove who plays the role of Carly Shay says in the trailer.

The show picks up from where it left us all those years ago with Carly now in her twenties.
Original cast members Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress are also returning as Spencer Shay (Carly’s older brother) and Freddie Benson (one of Carly’s best friends and basically the producer of their hit web show) alongside newcomers Laci Mosley and Jaidyn Triplett.
iCarly previously ran on Nickelodeon for six seasons from 2007 to 2012. In December 2020, it was announced that Cosgrove, 28, Kress, 28, and Trainor, 44, will return in their former roles for the revival series set at Paramount+. However, Jennette McCurdy who played the role of Sam Puckett (Carly’s best friend and costar) will not be returning, as well as Noah Munck who played Gibby.
Speaking about the show to J-14 in January, Cosgrove talked about what fans can expect from the revival.
“iCarly was a huge part of my childhood and I have so many memories from my time making the show. I feel like I grew up alongside the viewers. My biggest hope for the revival is that it brings the people who watched the original series a lot of joy.”
“The new show is mainly being made with all the original fans in mind. Although we hope families will enjoy it together, this version of the show will be more mature and follow our lives now,” she also added.
The first three episodes of iCarly will debut on Thursday, June 17, on Paramount+
