Carlos Tejada was born on December 7, 1972 in Rochester, N.H. His mother’s name was Carlene Richardson Tejada who taught him English as a second language. She was a former magazine editor and his father, Juan was from El Salvador who owned an acupuncture clinic in Tucson, Ariz.
Tejada took his journalism graduation degree from the University of Kansas in 1995 and hired by The Journal as a reporter in Dallas. He also worked as real estate and other subjects.
He was transferred to The Journal’s headquarters in NY in 2001 where he wrote about the workplace issues in the Work Week column and became a new Editor in 2003.
