A clip on social media about how Nigerian Instagram big boy “Ray Hushpuppi” “Woodberry” and other cybercriminals were monitored has been released by the Dubai media office.
If you could recall, Hushpuppi was arrested a few weeks back for allegedly breaking into the United States’ (US) unemployed database and impersonating applicants who are qualified and applying for unemployment funds.
The video clarified that after months of investigations by highly trained Dubai police officers, Hushpuppi and his gang were arrested while sleeping in their apartment in Dubai.
Little did Hushpuppi know that police were monitoring his social media accounts, who were tracking every move he made.
Hushpuppi and his team were known to create fake pages for existing websites to redirect the payment of victims to their own accounts.
The team also found that Hushpuppi and his gangs were mainly involved in hacking corporate e-mails and sending false messages to their customers to divert transactions to their own account.
Hushpuppi is said to have scammed 1.9 million people
