The suspects who all hail from Adomu village in the Eastern part of the State, were arrested by the Police team following intelligence-led operations.

CmaTrends reports that the Nigeria Police Force has arrested three suspected kidnappers terrorizing Itobe-Anyigba highway in Kogi State.

The arrested suspects according to the Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), DSP William Ovye Aya in a statement sent to DAILY POST on Saturday, are Danlami Shauibu, Kabiru Amodu and Adejoh Tijani.

Aya said the suspects who all hail from Adomu village in the Eastern part of the State, were arrested by the Police team following intelligence-led operations to contain the activities of criminal elements in the area.

“The suspects confessed belonging to a gang responsible for terrorizing road users along Itobe-Anyigba highway,” he added.

Items recovered from the suspects included one cut to size single barrel gun, one locally made Pistol, one POS Machine, one battle axe, one face mask, five live cartridges, and some assorted charms.

The Police PPRO, while noting that effort was ongoing to arrest other members of the gang, added that all the suspects will be charged to court on conclusion of investigations.
