Disney is back at it collaborating with the luxury fashion label Rag & Bone, this time for a 14-piece limited-edition capsule collection inspired by Disney’s much anticipated live-action feature film “Cruella.”
The film, starring Emma Stone and Emma Thompson, will be released in theaters and Disney+ on May 28.
The collection is inspired by the distinct red, white and black wardrobe of the film’s iconic villain Cruella de Vil, who the world was first introduced to as the infamous antagonist of “101 Dalmations.” In the prequel, viewers return to London during the punk rock revolution to see the young grifter Estelle, played by Stone, transform into the eponymous Cruella.
The collection nods to the British punk rock fashion of the 1970s with styles that aren’t a far cry from the edgy styles that the Britain-founded company has become known for. The limited edition set includes distressed white jeans with metal detailing, denim and leather trucker jackets, sleek blazers and trousers with oversized tailoring and graphic T-shirts.
Pieces range from $125 for a simple tee to upwards of $1,000 for their high-end leather moto jacket. We picked out the best pieces from the collection so you can live out all your punk rock dreams ahead of the “Cruella” premiere this Fri.
Cruella Leather Moto Jacket
This slim fit moto jacket makes for a classically punk rock style and is made out of 100% leather. Metal zippers, signature prym snaps and metal buckles give an added edge. It also pairs perfectly with the collection’s red silk midi dress ($495) for an added pop of color, which has its own metal detailing on adjustable straps.
Cruella Silk Bandana
Add this versatile silk scarf to any outfit for a polished, preppy look. Black and red stripes run across the perimeter, with the words “Cruella de Vil” spelled out across its ivory-colored base. Pair it with a simple white or black outfit for some added excitement, or even with the collection’s notable tweed bomber jacket for a more pronounced look.
Cruella Linen Blend Blazer
This oversized blazer, in classic dark Cruella colors, gives an effortless, cool vibe. Two front bosom pockets with flaps give added texture to the front, while one pyrm snap allows you to button up the jacket for more coverage. Pair with the matching trousers ($425) or dress it down with a classic muscle tee ($125).
Cruella Wool Blend Knit Vest
Knit from merino wool and a tencel blend, this deep V-necked vest can be worn alone or styled with a blouse. A rib stitch runs down the trans-seasonal sweater for subtle texture, in addition to black and white striped trims at the top and bottom. Pair it with distressed white jeans ($225) and a white denim jacket ($350) for an all-white outfit ahead of Memorial Day.
Cruella Tweed Bomber Jacket
This bold bomber jacket might be the most “Cruella” look out of the entire collection. Black rolled ribs at the collar and cuffs intercut the red and white houndstooth pattern. The leather lining on the front bosom pockets are also a thoughtful touch. Pair with the mini skirt ($495) for a complete eye-catching lock.
Cruella Monk Flat
Pair any of the above outfits with these classic monk flats, made out of premium Spazzolato leather. An almond-shaped toe, impressive contrast whip-stitch detailing around the sides and a stacked heel offer distinct features while still being versatile enough to wear with almost any outfit. If you’d rather opt for a simpler look for summer, these thong flat sandals are a good choice.
