Controversial American artist, Tekashi 6ix9ine is expected to be released from jail today to prevent contracting coronavirus since he is listed as a ‘vulnerable’ prisoner.
Tekashi, the actual name of Daniel Hernandez, is reportedly completing a 24-month term on nine counts, including attempt to murder and armed robbery. He has already completed 13 months of his two-year term and was expected to be released from upstate New York prison in August 2020.

His counsel, Lance Lazzaro, who lodged a petition for his release owing to the distribution of COVID-19, stated to Rolling Stone that the artist may be released as early as this afternoon.
“It’s a foregone conclusion, he’s going to be released,” said Dawn Florio, another Hernandez representative. “He might do that now, or tomorrow, we’re all waiting on the judge’s ruling,” Lazzaro said, “Once Hernandez is free, he’ll complete the last four months of his term at home.
