UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been admitted with recurrent signs of Coronavirus. On March 27, the 55-year-old lawmaker took to social media to reveal that he had tested positive for the novel COVID-19 and had been in self-isolation at his Downing Street home for seven days. He has however been running the country’s state of affairs from his isolation center.
A statement issued today from his office states he has been hospitalized on the recommendation of his doctor. It is known that Johnson’s hospitalization is not an emergency and was found to be prone due to his continued symptoms.
He’s said to be in the NHS Hospital in London, where he’ll live “as long as he needs.”
“On the advice of his doctor, the Prime Minister has tonight been admitted to hospital for tests. This is a precautionary step, as the Prime Minister continues to have persistent symptoms of coronavirus 10 days after testing positive for the virus.” the statement read in part
Johnson is the most popular virus contractor in the country. His pregnant partner, Carrie Symonds, confirmed she had been sick with signs for a week but is now healing.
