It looks like a new Wizkid docuseries is going to be released tomorrow.
The documentary titled ‘A Superstar Made in Lagos‘ would center around the Grammy award winning artiste’s life, love life, and his music.
It is set to premiere at 9 am on June 12, 2021 on the Starboy TV Youtube channel. Starboy TV is the superstar’s official YouTube channel. The documentary was shot by JM Films and is said to include reflections from Wizkid, some of his peers, and mentors. It’s a rare glimpse into the singer’s life, which is notoriously private.

The YouTube description says, “A Superstar Made in Lagos” celebrates the 10 year anniversary of Wizkid’s debut album – “Superstar“.
On June 12, 2011, the 30-year-old singer released his debut album, Superstar to rave reviews. The album officially sold over five millions copies.
Superstar won Best Album of the Year at the 2012 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. It was also nominated for Album of the Year and Best R&B/Pop Album at The Headies 2012.
Sometime last year, Wizkid also released an Original Documentary titled ‘A Day In The Live‘. The Afrobeats music star partnered with YouTube to present the three-hour live performance. The live show was hosted by Julie Adenuga.
This was after the release of his fourth studio album, ‘Made in Lagos‘.

During the interactive session, Wizkid shared some interesting facts about himself. He spoke about doing a joint album with Skepta in 2021 (fingers crossed).
“I think 2021, I’m gonna make an album with Skepta”. He said. “You know what, let me rephrase. I’m going to make an album with Skepta, coming soon”.
However, in the conversation with Adenuga, he added that he loved surprising the fans. “My problem is I love to give people surprises. That’s why I don’t like to give dates or tell you when it’s going to come. I just say “it’s coming soon”. I hate when you can predict me.“
