Manchester United is keen in the signing of Gedson Fernandes, Benfica’s mildfielder
Portugal’s 20-year-old international is one of a selection of club goals ahead of the January transfer window.
He hasn’t played in any of Benfica’s last seven games and is believed to have fallen out of favor with head coach Bruno Lage.
Representatives of the player are said to have been in the UK trying to broker a loan deal with a € 34 m option to purchase from interested parties.
The release clause of Fernandes is estimated to be £ 102 m–but Benfica has admitted that they will not get that kind of money for an out-of-favored player.
