Could some wonder who is Victor Olaiya??Okay, Victor Abimbola Olaiya, also known as Dr. Victor Olaiya, was a high-life Nigerian trumpeter. While extremely popular during the 1950s and early 1960s in Nigeria, Olaiya gained no attention outside of his native land.
One of Nigeria’s high-life legends Sir Victor Olaiya has died. The singer died today 12 February after a brief illness at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH.
He was 89 years old.
The late Olaiya was married and had numerous children including actress Nollywood, Moji Olaiya, who died in May 2017.
His death is really a huge loss.
