Brief Bio

Uzoamaka Audrey ‘Amaka’ Igwe was destined to Isaac and Patience Ene on 2 January, 1963 in Port-Harcourt. Igwe was the fifth of seven youngsters, and the fourth of six sisters.

Igwe was a cultivated essayist, maker, chief, business person and educator. A pioneer of present day Nigerian TV dramatization and film, she hit national spotlight as the author and maker of grant winning TV cleanser ‘Checkmate’ and its branch ‘Fuji House of Commotion’. Her Nollywood ventures incorporate Rattle snake and Violated, which set Amaka Igwe Studios separated in the Video film period of Nigerian film.

she was perceived as one of the second era producers who helped start the video film time of Nigerian film. She stayed an unmistakable figure in the business until her demise in 2014.

The Movie Industry indeed misses this exceptional icon.
