Photos: Dad Kills 15 ft Python Attempting to Swallow His Son In Australia

It’s been pulling him backward.

A 15-foot scrub python assaulted a four-year-old boy in northern Queensland.

He said his son’s screams warned him when the snake held on his son’s leg.

The brave father said he saved his four-year-old son from a 15-ft scrub python by killing him with a sledgehammer.

Mr. Thompson saw the snake with its jaws wrapped around his son as he tried to drag the frightened youngster backwards.

Recalling the ordeal, he said,’ Clifford was hanging on to the side of the boardwalk, and he was practically dragging him under the brush.

I went up and hit it at that point and let it go.

But as soon as I let go, it curled back up and bit him again.

And I took it, pretty much, as hard as I could, and I just bent it around to get it out of him.

He said,’ That thing wasn’t going to let go, it was going to eat my boy.’ Mr. Thompson said how he used to hit the snake in the head.

He said,’ I punched it in his head and let it go, but within a second or two, it hit him again on the upper right leg, a little higher than where he was originally, and it began to pull him out of the boardwalk into the woods, where he would have liked to wrap him up.

At that point, it was pulling him backwards, and I could see what had happened to his leg, and it was starting to open him up, and then I knew it wasn’t going to let go, it was too heavy, and that’s when I grabbed his jaw and tried to open it as hard as I could.’ Mr. Thompson said his son managed to get away, but the beast came back and tried to catch him again.

He said,’ Luckily, he got his leg out and ran up to the gate on the boardwalk trying to get away, and that was fine, but as the snake fell back down in the yard, it just slipped back on this side and tried to get to it.’ It was later killed with a sledgehammer.
